Dr Wayne Childs undertook his training through Monash University, where he obtained his medical degree in 2002. His internship and medical residency was at the Geelong Hospital. He then did his General Medical and Advanced Cardiology training through Eastern Health in Melbourne.
In 2014, he completed a Non-invasive Imaging fellowship at Monash Heart with advanced training in Echocardiography and Cardiac CT. He has also been undertaking clinical research at the Baker IDI and Alfred Heart Centre.
Dr Childs commenced practice in Ballarat in 2015, and maintains appointments at Grampians Health – Ballarat, and St John of God Hospital – Ballarat. He also has regular clinics running in Stawell, Horsham and Hamilton.
He lives in Ballarat with his wife and three children.
