Dr Christopher Hengel received a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Monash University in 1997, graduating as the top student from the Alfred Hospital Clinical School.
Basic Physician training and advanced training in Cardiology was completed at the Alfred Hospital.
In 2003, Dr Hengel undertook an Echocardiology fellowship at Monash Medical Centre.
Following this, he successfully completed an Interventional Cardiology fellowship at the Royal Jubilee Hospital and Victoria Heart Institute, British Columbia, Canada.
Dr Hengel commenced practice in Ballarat in 2006, and maintains appointments at Grampian Health – Ballarat, and Alfred Health.
